Topher and I were out late last night at a Christmas party so I didn't have time for a long post. This one is short and sweet. Over the summer, I bought two plain-as-can-be kitchen cabinet doors at a church rummage sale for 50 cents. I wasn't sure what I planned to do with them, but it looked like a bargain, so I picked them up. Sorry ... I forgot to take a before picture, so here is a photo after I started painting. ... Christmas Traditions
Well the countdown to Christmas is on! Just a few more shopping days left. The weather's getting colder, the stores are getting busier, and the parking lots are packed. I may have to brave the crowds one last time to get a few little details finished but other than that I am done. Topher and my unnamed child are getting a little weary of the non-stop Christmas music but they can deal with it because it makes me happy. DIY Bulletin Board
So you all know I have three dogs, Charlie, Gracie and LuLu and our cat kitten (her name will be explained another day). For a few hours each day I bring over Shelby, my neighbor's dog, so that she can have a little play time while her family is at work. We also have our stray outdoor cat Walter. Q and A Day!!!
Hello Everyone! Such a beautiful day here in Wichita! Doesn't seem like December at all. For the last several months, since I started my blog, I have received lots of questions. So I thought since I don't have any project pics for you today (since I'm working on several big ones), that I could answer some of your questions. It can be anything from your project questions, what my favorite movie is, to what color my bedroom is (it's tan by the way, but decorated in an ice blue ... VIEW POST
DIY Valance Window Treatments
A few weeks ago, you saw my new kitchen curtains. The two windows right beside suddenly looked a lot more naked, and I didn't like it. I love the view from our kitchen table, but I didn't like it so stark. I decided I wanted some valances that matched the curtains, and Topher finally agreed after weeks of pleading volunteered to do it. This is Topher's recount of the project: Overall, building a couple of valances to hang over our naked windows wasn't too difficult. If you want to try ... VIEW POST
