Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Tour!
Some of my most creative and talented blogging buddies and I are doing our interpretations of one of the 12 days. I don’t know about you, but when I think about the song 12 Days of Christmas … I think of the Muppets version. And of course, the highlight of the song is when Miss Piggy belts out “5 Golden Rings!!!“.
So naturally, I had to chose 5 Golden Rings for my project.
I chose to make something to go across my mantel.
I started with 5 embroidery hoops. Three larger ones and two small ones.
I took them out in the garage and spray painted them Krylon’s Metallic Gold.
Once they had dried, I took three different colors of burlap and stretched them across my hoops.
I then stenciled all 5 of them using a metallic gold and a turquoise craft paint.
Once those dried, I strung the hoops on turquoise ribbon and hung them from the mantel using stick-on Command Decorating Clips.
