Happy Friday my friends!
Can you believe it’s only 16 days until Christmas? Where has the time gone?
Speaking of time flying by, we are heading up to K-State today to go on a campus tour. The unnamed child will be getting her associate’s degree in the spring and is looking for a state school to move on to. Not sure this mama is ready for her to go that far away! While she’s still here, I’m making sure to really be present and enjoy our holiday together.
One of our favorite Christmas activities to do together is put up the tree.
We love looking through all of the ornaments and reminiscing about where we were when we got each one.
Last year was the first year we put up two trees, but this year we put up three! Two of them are at our house, and we also put one up at my parents’ new house. They are right in the middle of moving, and we knew if we didn’t put it up for them it just wasn’t going to happen.
So this year I decided to do my tour over at my parents’ new house since I haven’t shown it to you yet!
It was fun shopping for ornaments together and listening to Christmas music while we decorated.
We encouraged my mom to step out of her comfort zone and get a flocked tree. The one we got from Home Decorators Collection is from Martha Stewart, and is lightly flocked and just perfect.
We decided to decorate the tree with light pink, silver, and gold.
We also decided to use faux flowers all over which was a first for us. They are a little hard to see in the night time photos, so I will have to shoot some in the day to give you a better view.
Our little light up star also came from Home Decorators Collection.
I love all of the sweet pink decorations on the dresser!
Now we have the all of the Christmas decor up, but we are still waiting on the curtains to arrive!
My parents are so excited to host their first Christmas in the new house! Thanks for visiting!
