Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!! I hope you are doing something romantic with your Valentine today.
If you are valentine-less this year, I hope you did something nice for yourself.
Topher and I are doing our normal V-Day routine: I make dinner at home, we exchange gifts, and then we have a house full of teenagers over. It doesn’t get more romantic than that.
Actually, we just hate to fight the crowds at the restaurants and movie theaters, so we usually wait until Sunday night to go out someplace nice for dinner.
I have a lot of painting to do tomorrow, and as you know, I will be hosting my Pinterest Party at Michael’s on Sunday, so i will have a pretty full weekend.
I thought I would share with you another one of the projects I will be demonstrating at Michaels!
Here’s what you will need:
- A small birdcage (they have two different sizes at Michaels and I chose the smaller)
- Two bunches of flowers
- A package of moss
- A floral block
- A roll of ribbon
- Some floral sprigs, and
- Some floral wire
First, cut your moss and line the inside of your cage.
Next, take floral wire and wire your lid open.
Next, cut your floral block in half and place it in your birdcage.
Then start arranging your flowers, pushing them into your floral block.
Once your flowers are arranged start adding in your sprigs to fill it all in.
Last, tie a bow around your birdcage.
This would be a perfect wedding centerpiece, Easter centerpiece or just great Spring decor.
Make sure you follow Michael’s on Hometalk to enter yourself into a drawing for a $100 Giftcard!
Join me this Sunday Feb. 16th at the East side Michaels store from 1-4pm to make your own Pinterest creation! I will be there to show you how to make this project, the Burlap Topiary, The Birds Nest Chalk Banner Wreath and my Floral Topiary. The class is free just buy your supplies and meet me in the classroom!
