It’s Themed Furniture Thursday!!!
This month’s theme is black.
Now if you look back on all of my furniture pieces, you will notice that I have only used black a couple of times. I’m not sure why that is exactly, because the couple of pieces that I have painted black I really liked the results. It’s just not a color that I am naturally drawn to, but I’m glad we have the different themes for this tour each month because it makes me step out of my box a bit.
My parents found this buffet at an estate sale a couple of months ago. It was in rough shape. There were chunks of veneer missing, and it was scratched all to heck, but it had good bones.
The first thing I did was clean off all of the filth and remove all of the hardware.
I painted the whole piece with two coats of Plaster Paint in Black Tie.
I spray painted the hardware with Rust-O-leum’s Pure Gold.
I then coated the whole piece with Plaster Paint’s Paste Wax and buffed it off.
I painted the inside of the piece with Plaster Paint’s Old Red.
I think it turned out really pretty! I will bring it down to my booth this weekend!
Here was one of my other black projects!

Awe Shanna, we didn’t get to see the pop of red inside 🙁 Pairing the black with the gold hardware is stunning! I bet this piece doesn’t last long in your booth.
