30 Under $30 Volume 4

Happy Friday friends! We finally have cold weather here! I’ve been dragging out my warm pj’s and sweaters and have been bundled up in cozy blankets. Unfortunately all of this cold weather has been accompanied by rain. Of course it’s nothing like what some of my poor friends in Florida have been dealing with! Prayers to all of you that have been experiencing damage from the hurricanes.

We have a weekend filled with less than exciting home repair projects and hopefully getting a photo shoot in if the rain allows.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends! It’s been a busy week here! If you follow me on IG you will have seen that I got a chemical peel. So for part of the week I kind of looked like Deadpool, but things have mostly peeled off and are on the mend. Speaking of IG highlights if you go to my Try On highlights I did a Old Navy try on session where I shared all of my favorite new fall goodies and they have some good ones right now!

This weekend we are going to Woofstock, which is a fundraiser for our local Humane Society where everyone in town brings their pups, and they have all kinds of pet related booths set up along with pet costume contests, agility courses, owner and pet look alike contests, etc. We also are going to my twin nieces 2nd birthday party. Last weekend we took their 5 year old sister to the carnival, and we had so much fun! She was so excited, and seeing it all through her eyes was so cute!…

Easy Ways To Stay Fueled For Fall

No matter how old our kids get, there are things that they do that still drive us crazy. As you all know, I have a daughter who is a senior in college. She has three jobs, goes to school full time and has a boyfriend. To say her schedule is jam packed is an understatement. Even though she still lives at home, it’s pretty much like she doesn’t — she typically runs in the door, drops her books, runs to her room, changes and is out the door for one of her three jobs. She barely has time to breath let alone eat (hence the thing that drives me crazy). There are so many days when she gets home at 10:00PM ravenous, wanting to eat anything not nailed down because she hadn’t eaten all day. Then she will talk about how tired she is and how she could hardly stay awake in class.

I’ve been trying to explain to her the importance of eating and taking in calories throughout the day to boost her metabolism and keep her brain functioning (especially in class). She says she doesn’t have time between classes to run anywhere for lunch, so we have been exploring options to have on hand that she can carry with her and snack on during the day.

Kendra Scott Charm Collection Launch

Happy Friday friends! I hope you all had a great week! I co-hosted an event with Kendra Scott the other night to launch their new charm collection! It was so fun!

The Kendra Scott team has been working on this charm collection for years, putting together ideas for the best way to connect and for us to tell our stories. The collection is very unique, sophisticated, and perfect for all ages.

Since Kendra Scott is one of her favorite brands, the unnamed child decided to come check out the new goodies too!

In the collection, the charms not only work on several different style of bracelets, but also on necklaces and earrings. I love that they are interchangeable! I got the Double Length Toggle Bracelet and the Adjustable Chain Necklace in Rose Gold. On my list is also a pair of the Hammered Hoop Earrings — they are gorgeous on their own or with the charms.

The charms all have a meaning on the the cards they come on to help you tell your story. For example, I got the elephant charm which means “friend for life, forever loyal” and the Evil Eye which means “For good luck and protection against negativity”. They have initials, birthstones, and even college mascots. Also several of the charms have part of their proceeds going to charities.

I love that once you get the base piece (necklace, bracelet or earrings) you can keep adding to your collection. They have great price points and will make great holiday gifts. Don’t wait too long as some of the charms were sold out in my local store before the official launch! My mom wants one, I got one, and my daughter wants some too! I love that this collection is perfect for 3 generations and will be something special to pass down.

You can also buy some premade sets like the Metastatic Breast Cancer Necklace Charm Set or the Magical Charm Bracelet that has a unicorn and a unicorn horn.

Leopard Print For Fall and Winter

Happy Tuesday! It’s a busy week around here! First of all I want to invite any of my local Wichita friends to an event I am hosting with my friends over at Kendra Scott tomorrow night! It is at the Kendra Scott Store in the Waterfront from 4-7 pm. They will be launching their new charm collection, and I promise you, you want to be there. There will be drinks. sweets, and appetizers so grab a girlfriend and come and hang out! I got to see a sneak peek of the collection and it is beautiful!

The collection comes in 3 colors, gold, silver and rose gold, and the charms are interchangeable where you can use them on bracelets, necklaces and earrings so that they are more versatile.

I loved how unique they were and how you were able to really personalize them to tell your story or the story of they person you are giving them to.
