JORD Watches The Perfect Gift + a Giveaway!

Hi friends! If you have been following the blog very long, you know I often complain about having to buy gifts for Topher (my hubby). The man is so difficult! When asked what he wants for his BD, Christmas, etc. the answer is always: “nothing”.

How can he want nothing? That really gives me zero to go on.

So in the past, this wealth of information he has given me has led to some gifts I know he has not been super excited about — one of them being a watch. The watch I bought him was super chic, with a chunky metal band, but I ended-up returning it because he thought it was too showy.

If you follow along, you also know that I like to get my Christmas shopping finished well in advance. I am not one to fight it out at the mall in December, so I am starting my shopping now.

Friday Fashion Favorites + LOFT 50% Off Sale

Happy Friday friends! We are back to sweating our behinds off here in Kansas! All of these cute sweaters are just taunting me hanging in my closet. The seasons usually shift overnight here, and I am ready! It’s supposed to cool down to 86 degrees here Sunday, so hopefully I can get some new outfits shot for you for next week.

The unnamed child is off to see her boyfriend this weekend. He is a baseball player that goes to school 2 hours away, and every other weekend she is off to visit him since he always has games or practice and can’t come home. As a mama it always makes me nervous with her on the road that much. The weekends with her away are quiet around here. Topher and I have been doing a lot of binge watching on Netflix and making all the meals the the kiddo doesn’t like. Even when she is here, between work and school we don’t see her that often but it just feels different on the weekends she is away.

Enough rambling now, since IG has changed-up their algorithm, virtually no one has been seeing my posts, so I backed-off a little bit this week. A lot of you have been complaining that you aren’t seeing my posts pop up in your feeds. The only thing I can recommend is that the more you like and comment, the more IG thinks you want to see them and will then continue to show them in your feed. Friday Fashion Favorites

Happy Friday friends! It’s been a crazy week around here!

First of all, it was my birthday this week. How the heck 42 years have passed by, I have no idea! My hubby and daughter took me out for a nice dinner and gave me some sweet presents. We are going over to my mom’s tonight, and the family is throwing me a little bd party.

The downside of this week was that our dog Gracie got pancreatitis, and I was up all night for two nights with her. We now have a million-dollar vet bill, but once she got some IV fluids she started on the mend. We are still having to give her some pills, and for a dog that doesn’t want to eat anything that is no easy feat.

On a side note, my prayers are with all of you out there that are still recovering in Texas, and all of the rest of you that are in the new storm’s path. I hope you and your families stay safe and dry.

Friday Fashion Favorites + Best Labor Day Weekend Sales

Happy Friday friends! If you have been following my IG feed this week, you know that I have had crazy insomnia all week, and after only having 5 hours of sleep in the last 4 days I am exhausted. You would think after that many days of not sleeping, your body would wave the white flag and surrender … but not yet. Plus Topher was traveling for work, and I never sleep very well when he is gone, but this is starting to get ridiculous.

I had a suggestion of taking melatonin, and I tried that last night with no luck. Another suggestion one of you had was to try magnesium, so that is on the agenda for tonight. I’ll keep you posted. If any of you have any other suggestions please let me know!

Topher gets home tonight, so that should help things too. When he is away, the dogs are all on edge and bark at the smallest things which, of course, freaks me out at 3 am when they are barking at the front door….

Friday Fashion Favorites + Best of the LOFT Sale

Happy Friday Friends!

It’s been a long week folks! So glad for it to be over! My daughter started her first week at a big university. She attended her first two years at a junior college, so it was a big transition for her with the mass amount of people, trying to find her classes and parking miles away. We have a busy weekend of painting the house, photo shoots, and my 4 year-old-niece is coming for a sleepover. One thing, though, this last week did have cooler weather thank goodness.
