Below, I’ll walk through a handful of extremely useful productivity tools for bloggers.
But here’s the great thing … I use most of these in LIFE, and not just in conjunction with this blog. These tools help keep me organized, maintain order, and can keep me focused….

Some super talented ladies and myself will be sharing some Fall ideas with you this week!
As much as I wish I could tell you that I have had a chance to unpack my sweaters and start up a fire … that is simply not the case yet. It was still 100* here last weekend!
I have pulled out the Fall decorations, and I’m hoping that will bring a little good juju and Fall will be upon us soon!
Yesterday’s theme for the Fall tour was Mantels, and today it is Tablescapes.
The first table that you see in my home when you walk in the door is my DIY Restoration Hardware Coffee Table I built a few months ago.
I try to always keep it decorated all fancy since it’s the first thing guests lay eyes on.
Since I change it out so often, I try to find inexpensive decor. I reuse items in different vignettes, use coupons, and items from thrift stores/yard sales to decorate.
The table runner I used is actually a throw from IKEA.
The mirror that the large pumpkin is setting on came from a yard sale.
I got the large and small white pumpkins at the end of Fall last year while on clearance. The horse and the candlesticks came from Michael’s at 50% off.
The old clock came from a vintage sale, and the leaves were from a craft project last year … as well as the orange and silver mercury glass pumpkins.
I’m so excited to be able to bring out the leggings, sweaters and boots soon! I love snuggling up with the pups with a fuzzy blanket next to the fire.

I also have my new Craigslist Ivory Bookshelves all decked out for Fall!

Today we are loading up and going to Kansas City once again. This has been our 4th trip up there in the last couple of months. Topher has a business trip, and the unnamed child and I are tagging along to take advantage of the nice hotel and free food. My parents are once again kindly house sitting for us.
So before we head out of town, I decided to share a quick furniture makeover with you.

Honestly, I don’t really know what the expression is for when someone is talking about you, but I do know that as a blogger, you hope and pray that A LOT of people are out there talking about you!
But how do you know?
Of course, you have Jet Pack or Google Analytics that will give you a really nice idea of what’s happening on your site, but what about elsewhere in the internet atmosphere? How can you gauge your reach?
Below, I’ll offer a few tips to help you see which social media outlet is helping you the most, and show you how you can help keep your finger on the internet’s pulse when it comes to your brand….

This month has been a glutinous one. I had come down with a knock-you-on-your-butt kind of virus for a week, and then for the past two weeks it subsided to where I was able to function but still have not been able to kick the achiness. So for the last 3 weeks, I have not worked out one single time. Then you add in a weekend away for my birthday (where I ate all kinds of yummy but bad for you food) and then more eating out since we’ve been back home (since I still feel a bit icky and I have no desire to cook). All of that equals extra pounds, and I’m done.
Do you ever get to the point that you kind of can’t stand your body, and you have to do something to change it?
That’s where I’m at people. Monday I am turning over a new leaf and getting back to the whole clean eating/working out thing that I so dread. It may not be fun, but when you turn 40 you can no longer survive on frozen pizzas and mac and cheese from a box, and you have to face the fact that you have to drag your fat behind to the gym.
So here I go again. Back to making green smoothies, dragging out the workout dvds, and logging hours on the elliptical….
