Hello friends! My fellow Decor Enthusiast friends and I have some fun new projects for you today!
This month’s theme is stenciled projects.
I have to admit, stenciling used to make me really nervous. It’s one of those things where it doesn’t take much for it to go wrong and trust me … it has gone wrong for me several times!
With a little practice, though, I have gotten better over time, so I thought I would give it a go on my latest furniture piece.
I picked-up this piece off Craigslist last year, planning on using it as my vanity in my hall bathroom. My ADD kicked in, and my decorating plans changed completely, and I found a different vanity, so I figured it was about time to paint this guy and put it up for sale.
I decided to use Amy Howard’s Toscana Milkpaint in Riviera Blue .
Once I got the whole piece completed, I used my little stencil to give the piece a little more character.
I then distressed the entire piece and went over it with Amy Howard’s Light Wax and used her Dust of Ages in the nooks and crannies to give it that aged look.
Check out some of my other furniture projects down below!

That looks like a Miss Mustard Seed hand-painted stencil. Am I right? It’s a beautiful piece!

I love this piece! I have one very similar. It is missing one of the key hole hardware. Do you know where I might find a replacement?

I just happened to see your blog. Love your work, very nice pieces. It has given me lots of inspiration. I have almost the exact dresser that you painted the light blue. I haven’t done anything with it yet.
