Happy Tuesday my friends! What have you been doing in the midst of all of this craziness? Topher is CIO at a bank, and he has been working non stop trying to figure out how to run the bank with minimal employees and figuring out how their employees can work from home. The kiddo, who just got her first big girl full-time job, has been training the last 2 weeks only to find out today that all 4 of the event coordinators at her job have been laid off. The company hopes to hire them back when they are back up and running but they can’t guarantee anything.
When this all started, I was glued to the news 24 hours a day. All that did was stress me out. I have decided that in the grand scheme of things there’s not much that I can control aside from staying home. I have decided to only check in with the news once a day, enough to stay informed but other than that I’m just going to live my life in the bubble of my little house. Are there horrible things happening to people out there? Absolutely. Am I afraid of contracting the virus since I have a compromised immune system? Sure, but sitting around dwelling on it all day won’t keep that from happening. My hubby and daughter (up until today) still had to go outside the home to work and the only thing they could do to limit bringing the germs into me is the same thing every other person can do which is wash their hands, change clothes as soon as you come in, and take your shoes off. I will help in any way that I can whether that means donating any unneeded food to a food bank or purchasing gift cards from local restaurants to use at a later date to help keep them afloat now. I can check in with friends or family that feel isolated and pick up extra groceries for those who can’t get out.
It’s easy to get down with all that’s going on during all of this chaos, but I am choosing to remain optimistic and try to focus on the few good things that have been happening. My daughter who is usually working 3 jobs and never home is now home every night for dinner. We are doing things like watching movies as a family and doing puzzles which is something we haven’t done in a decade. We will all get through this. We might even grow closer as a family. So stay safe my friends. I am keeping you in my prayers.
As all of you are stuck at home too, I have been getting so many requests for cute new comfies to lounge in. I have rounded up some of my very favorite comfy pieces for you. All of them are 40-60% off too!
I just got in this adorable jumpsuit, and it is so darn comfy! It looks super cute with a cardigan or jean jacket over it too. Today it’s 40% off; if you’re between sizes go down one.
Adidas is also having an amazing sale! 30% Everything with code March30
