Hello my friends!
Yesterday, since it was so lovely out, I decided to do a little shopping. Do you ever go into a store and find something you love, but you get frustrated at the outrageous prices? Well the store I went into had this gorgeous nautical table set up, and while I did splurge on the pretty dishes, I couldn’t afford the whole table setting.
There were these darling little coastal napkin rings, and I was pretty sure that I could duplicate them at home.
Once I got home, I started digging through my craft hoard, and I came across this roll of jute from Hobby Lobby that looked like nautical rope to me.
I needed something circular to glue it onto, and the only thing I could think of were some empty toilet paper rolls.
I cut two of them in half to get the size that I wanted.
I then used my glue gun and placed a line of hot glue around the top of my toilet paper roll, and then pressed the rope into the glue and held it in place for a couple of seconds.
I then went line by line until the whole roll was covered, trying to start and stop on the same side so the seams wouldn’t show.
The whole project only took me about 10 minutes and turned out really cute!
Make sure you tune in tomorrow to see my whole coastal tablescape in my Spring Home Tour tomorrow!

Shanna, I love this idea – perfect for meals al fresco! Pinning to share.

This is great and economical! You could make your project more secure by running vertical stitches through the rope, since hot glue has a tendency to become brittle over time that would eliminate the risk of any unravelling.
