Hello my friends!
Has your life seemed as crazy as mine lately? Between the holidays, Christmas shopping, helping my brother and sister-in-law with their new twins, and my parents moving, things have been a bit chaotic. I feel like I can’t quite seem to keep all of that going on and the blog, so that’s why you haven’t been seeing me quite as much lately.
That being said, I do have a new project to show you today!
A few months back, I picked up this gigantor dresser at an estate sale.
I know by the looks of it, you are probably asking yourself why. Trust me, Topher was too when he saw it.
I’ve made over a couple of these in the past you can see here and here, so I knew that it had potential.
First thing I did was scrub that baby down with some Simple Green.
Once that nasty business was finished, I got to work and painted on two coats of Deco Art Americana Chalky Finish Paint in Relic.
After the paint dried (I gave it a couple of hours), I then sealed it with Americana Clear Creme Wax and buffed it off.
Lastly, I painted the original hardware with Rust-Oleum’s Metallic Gold spray paint.
I think it looks a lot better now!
It would be great as a dresser or a tv console.
I just dropped it off at my new furniture booth at The Nest @112.
