It’s back to school time! Which means it’s time to head to Wal-Mart to buy new school supplies.
As a mother, it’s important to me to make sure my child gets everything on the school supply list.
To my daughter, it’s important to bring supplies that show a bit of her personality along with being functional.
Since my daughter is in high school, she has to deal with having a locker. Being a teenager, it’s important for her to check her apperance throughout the day. There would be nothing worse than being caught without her lipgloss, but she doesn’t always have access to a mirror.
She also is always losing her pens and pencils somewhere in the pit at the bottom of her locker.
I came up with a solution for both problems using a stylish Duck Tape® product as a bonus!
I headed straight to Wal-Mart since they have the best prices on school supplies in town, and they coincidentally have the lowest prices on Duck Tape® too. So if you’re going to buy Duck Tape® make sure you buy Duck Tape at Walmart. With so many different new fun prints, it took me a while to narrow it down to one. Once I did, I went home and found a piece of cardboard.
I started out with a piece of cardboard that I cut into a 8 by 13 inch rectangle.
I then took a small mirror and started using Duck Tape® to secure it to the cardboard.
I then covered the remaining cardboard with strips of the tape.
Once the entire thing was covered, I cut three small strips of cardboard (the frame for the front pocket) and wrapped the front and back with tape.
Next I attached all three pieces together using tape, and then attached them to the board.
I then cut another piece of cardboard and covered it with tape to use as the front of the pen pocket and attached it.
Last, I cut a strip of tape 5 inches long and laid three small magnets onto the strip and fastened it to the back right side and did the same to the left side.
Now you have a perfect locker caddy!
You can place your pens and pencils along with any other items, such as the much needed lipgloss, in the front pocket.
The magnets on the back will be what will allow it to hang in the locker.
