Hi everybody!
Can you believe this weekend is the 4th of July? The summer is flying by!
I’m taking part in a Red, White and Blue DIY Celebration Tour with some of my blogging buddies! So if you’re looking for some ways to decorate your home for the holiday, or if you’re searching for some craft ideas to do with your friends and family on the 4th, you’re in the right place!
Last year for the 4th, I made this Patriotic Flower Wreath
Also following along with the red white and blue theme is my Nautical Striped Table
This year I decided to make up a little patriotic vignette on top of my Blue Milkpainted Antique Dresser.
I used an antique sewing machine drawer, painted white, as the base.
I added in some vintage pieces, a rustic sign, and some cute little flags from Michaels.
I made my polka dot garland the same way I made my Fall Mantel Garland. Instead of stenciling letters, I used a little dobber from the Martha Stewart line like I did on my Polka-Dot Ceramic Pot Makeover. Instead of gluing your burlap onto the string, you can also just run your sewing machine quickly across them all to attach them.
Make sure you head over to see all of the other ladies fabulous 4th projects down below!

I love all of these patriotic projects. The sweet vignette is such a good idea and quick too. I’m off to find my little flags burried in the garage and make one too!
