End of Summer Deals and Puppy Pics

Happy Friday friends!

It seems everywhere I go this week, from Target, to the grocery store all I see are busy mamas out there getting their kids ready to go back to school. I am glad those days are behind me! Technically, my daughter has one year left (she’s going to be a senior in college), and I do have to buy her crazy expensive books … but other than that there’s nothing that I am in charge of.

I can remember her first day of kindergarten as clear as day though. Topher and I were so worried about her, and we both went into work late so we could go in with her, in case she freaked out. We walked in with her, found her table, and she started playing with a couple of little girls. She then looked up at us and said “You can go now” and that was it.

We were a little shocked that was all there was too it. Yes, I realize we were lucky that there was no melt down or sad, scared tears, but I think it was the first time we really felt unnecessary to her … which was a little sad too.

If you follow me on IG you have probably seen me on IG stories professing my love for these super soft amazing pj’s! They have been the perfect summer pajamas as they are so lightweight and cool. Since I work from home, pj’s are pretty much my uniform (yes, I know I am lucky), and therefor I have pretty much tried them all by this point. I have found a pair from Nordstrom that are my all time favorite, but I swear if you blindfolded me and compared these Target knock-offs to the Nordstrom pair I don’t think I could tell which is which! The Nordstrom pair is $65, and these are only $20! Most stores are sold out of them, but you can order them online and have them sent to your store for pick up or delivered to your home. I love them so much I have them in 3 colors! They are a great gift for friends or family!

Before I sign off, I had to share with you a little mini photo shoot we had done with Melissa Kelly Imagery of our daughter and her ~~best friend~~ our pup Charlie. She is a little obsessed with this little guy, and she tells us the reason she hasn’t moved out yet is because she can’t afford it … but I’m pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that she can’t bare to leave this little stinker. The pics did turn out pretty darn cute!
