You all know that I am a summer girl. I would take the heat over the cold any day.
This summer was rough though.
It was one of the hottest summers we have had in years. The sweat through your t-shirt, makeup melts off within 5 minutes of putting it on, hair frizzes before you can even walk out the door summers.
This one was even too hot for me.
So when this marvelous cool front rolled in here this week, I was one happy camper.
Getting into the fall mood, I decided to make a new Fall Floral Pumpkin Wreath for the front door.
I started with a simple grapevine wreath. I got mine at Michael’s using their 40% off coupon.
I also bought two of these fall bouquets at Michael’s — you could use any faux flowers.
I cut the bouquet apart using wire cutters.
Michael’s also has these half pumpkins. They are literally faux pumpkins that have been cut in half.
I drilled four holes in the pumpkin. Two at the very bottom and one on either side near the bottom. I took floral wire, stringing it through the holes, and attached it to the wreath.
I then inserted the flowers into the wreath.
Last, I tied a bow and attached it to the wreath using a pipe cleaner.

Super cute wreath!! I haven’t quite gotten in the fall mood since we moved into a new house 2 months ago and I’m still trying to decorate it. Love the wreath!!
