Guess what today is? It’s Themed Furniture Makeover Day!
If you’re new here, it’s where my blogging buddies and I share our furniture makeovers with a monthly theme. This month’s theme is Farmhouse.
With all of the furniture makeovers that I do, the pieces I keep tend to be a bit more on the glamorous side, with lots of carving like my vintage buffet and my turquoise dining set. I know with Fixer Upper taking over the world, simple pieces are definitely trending.
When I received this vintage sewing cabinet from a friend, I knew it hard more of a farmhouse feel to it.
I painted it with Plaster Paint’s Sweet Cream.
Once it was finished, it was just too plain for my taste, so I knew I needed to spice it up a little.
A few weeks ago, I showed you my Decoupaged Vintage Desk that I used napkins on.
When I ran across some pretty butterfly napkins the other day, I knew I wanted to try my hand at the ol’ napkin trick again using Mod Podge.
I painted the inside of the drawers Plaster Paint’s Marigold, and I replaced the knobs with new ones from Hobby Lobby. I think it turned out pretty cute and would look sweet as a table in a little girl’s bedroom!

Love your makeover on this sewing cabinet. I especially like the pop of yellow on the sides of the drawers. I have the exact same piece just waiting for her transformation. Thanks for the inspiration to get her out of the garage and give her a new lease on life.

Love the pop of color inside the drawers. Why haven’t I ever ordered paper napkins online?? We live in a small community and there’s not an awesome looking paper napkin in site. I really want to try this.

Stunning!! I could see this piece in a girls room, on a sun porch, in a breakfast nook. So many pretty ways to show this piece off, Shanna. Love and pinned!
