Do you have a man in your life that is impossible to buy for? I know I do. In fact, all of the men in my life are.
Let me clarify that, the men I am referring to are my hubby, my dad, my father-in-law, and my brother. I don’t have a sister wives thing going on, but I guess in that case it would be brother husbands?
Anyway I regress.
Anytime I ask any of them what they want for Christmas, I either get the “I don’t need anything” or “I don’t know“. Both are super helpful.
So months ago, I had my hubby start a list, so he had plenty of time to prepare for the big question.
It’s funny how now that I’m using tools as often as he is, some of the items on his list are also on mine.
Here were some of his items:
Rockwell Tools Jawhorse
The Jawhorse is a hands-free clamp and sawhorse. If you can lift it, you can clamp it. You can securely clamp virtually anything with this baby. The projects I can use this on are endless. I don’t know how many times over the past few years I’ve clamped something to a sawhorse, only to have it wiggle free. With this, I can use the hands-free clamp to lock it in place and know that it’s not going anywhere until I release it.
Campbell Hausfeld 1.3 HP 20 Gallon Vertical Air Compressor
Our air compressor is wheezing its last breath — it doesn’t hold air anymore. Whenever I have to fire it up it hisses the entire time, and it only has a four gallon tank, so it seems to constantly want to cycle. This Campbell Hausfeld is perfect for a wide range of home and auto jobs including running my pneumatic tools, tire repair and maintenance, tire inflation, blowing-out my sprinklers, and more.
20″ Cordless Lawn Mower
One of the things Topher loves about our house is the yard. Our last home had a huge yard and it took forever to mow. In this house, we have the benefit of the neighborhood’s large community space behind us, but we have a smaller yard to maintain — in fact, he can mow and weed-eat in about an hour. As handy as he is, small engines aren’t his strong-suit. He’s been interested in a battery-powered mower for a while now because of its simple design and low maintenance, and this mower looks like it would do about everything he’s going to need a mower to handle for a long, long time.
AWOL Bag from Duluth Trading Company
My hubby travels for work frequently, and this AWOL bag with Antique brass hardware is the perfect size for him. This past year, he purchased their Billionaire’s Briefcase, and he absolutely loves it! Now, this baby is next on his list!
Ryobi Cordless Brad Nailer
The AirStrike technology provides cordless convenience, eliminating the compressor and bulky air hose. I know this may conflict with the compressor above, but as far as pneumatic tools go, the brad nailer is far and away my most used, and the idea of having one that operates on a battery (without having to fire-up a huge air compressor or lug a dirty air hose through my living room) has a ton of appeal to me! Plus , it uses the same sized battery as the Ryobi drill and circular saw I already have.
Super exciting news this week!
The awesome people over at Ryobi sent me their cordless mower! Topher is going to be super excited!
And the amazing folks over at Rockwell Tools sent me this Jawhorse! I’m not sure who’s more excited Topher or me!
