It’s Themed Furniture Thursday!!
I always look forward to our monthly furniture group tour. It keeps me on my toes and helps me to remember to step out of my box. This month’s theme is Letters or Numbers.
Now I have done a lot of projects that have had letters on them like my Two Toned Coffee Table, French Stenciled TV Console, and my Parisian Painted Side Table . One thing I have never done is a project with numbers.
My mom found these cute little stacking tables at an estate sale for $5. The tops had seen better days, but other than that they were in good shape.
First I cleaned all the dirt and gunk off of them. I then painted on two coats of Plaster Paint in Sweet Cream.
Next I used Frog Tape to tape off grain sack stripes. I then used Plaster Paint Grey Silk and painted-in the stripes, and then I removed my tape while they were still wet.
After I let the grey paint dry, I distressed each table with a sanding block.
I then took a stencil and stenciled on the different numbers on the top. After that paint dried, I lightly distressed the numbers.
To seal the tables I used Plaster Paint’s Paste Wax and buffed it off.
Look down below to see the rest of the projects in the tour!
Love it! I can’t believe the difference a bit of paint makes!
Wonderful,
