Time management really isn’t my thing.
If you ask Topher, he will tell you it really, really isn’t my thing.
I’ve been a procrastinator for as long as I can remember. Writing term papers hours before they were due, packing my bag for the hospital while I was doubled over with contractions, and wrapping Christmas gifts until 2:00AM on Christmas Eve. So you know that my Christmas cards never make it out on time … if they ever make it out at all. I am pretty sure I haven’t had cards go out since 2011.
This year, I am determined to get them out on time, so I made myself a checklist to keep me on track.
- Take the photo now. If a friend or family member is taking your photo, sometimes it needs to be done more than once. Especially if you have small children or animals in your photo. If you are having a photographer take your photo, the turn around time can be 4-8 weeks, so the sooner the better. With outfits, try to stick with solid colors and as few bold prints as possible. If you take your photos now, you will have a more colorful background with all of the trees changing and the grass still green.
- Start browsing the selection at Minted.com to find a style that goes with your photograph’s theme.
- As soon as your photos come in, get your holiday cards ordered. No one likes stressing out at the last minute, trying to get them out in time. One thing I love that Minted does, is that all holiday cards are available with matching envelope designs and recipient addressing, FREE for a limited time. They also have the option to add a holiday message to the back of the card. All you have to do is insert the card into the envelope, stick a stamp on it, and go! That is a huge time saver right there!
Minted is known for its high-quality paper and printing.
You can also choose 100% recycled paper, Pearlescent paper which adds a subtle shimmer, DoubleThick paper or even TripleThick paper.
Minted also offers 9 unique die-cut shapes. I love the oil-pressed holiday cards in gold, silver and rose gold.
I know you will love Minted as much as I do, so we are giving away a $50 credit to one of my lucky readers!
