The couples baby shower I am going to host for my brother and sister-in-law is in 4 days, and I’m frantically trying to cross things off my To Do list.
Yesterday I showed you my tutorial on How to Make a Diaper Cake. Today is the flag bunting for the front of the table. Here is what you will need:
- Twine (I used jute)
- Colored paper (I used scrapbook paper that I got at Michaels)
- Hot glue gun
- Alphabet letters
- Old book pages
First, fold the pages of your scrapbook paper in half and cut out triangles. I used 6: two blank ones and four to spell out the word baby.
Next measure out how long you want your twine to be (I wanted mine to stretch from one end of the table to the other).
Then insert the twine into the folded part of your triangles and glue them shut. I didn’t put the glue all the way to the top of the string so that I could slide them around and adjust them once I was finished.
Next take your book pages and cut them into quarters and fan fold them.
I hot glued three of them together to form a semi circle and then glued those three to another three to form a circle.
Once the circles are finished, hot glue them to your pennants.
I then cut out circles of paper (any kind) the size of 50 cent pieces, and I glued those on top of the book page circles.
Last, I glued glitter letters spelling out “B A B Y” on top of the 50 cent sized circles.
That’s all there is to it! You can use this flag bunting for any occasion mixing different types of papers and patterns.

See you tomorrow for part 3 of the series!

I love this!! How vintagely pretty! Great idea on not gluing the pendants all the way up so that you can adjust them. Pinning right now!
