Happy Monday Everyone!!! I hope everyone celebrated a great Father’s Day with their loved ones!
Well, the couples baby shower I threw for my brother and sister-in-law Saturday went off without a hitch! The house was packed, but the food was good, and I got a ton of compliments on the decorations. I even had several people want me to help decorate their homes.
Last week, getting ready for the shower, I was on hyper-mode with no sleep, and yesterday I did absolutely nothing. I slept for 10 hours straight, and felt like I had waken from a coma. We took Topher out for Mexican food, and then watched movies for the rest of the day. (Fun Size is a cute movie by the way).
Onto the next step in our How To Host a Baby Shower Series.
So far we have covered how to make the Diaper Cake, the Flag Bunting, and today: how to make a tissue paper bunting.
Here is what you will need:
- Twine (I used Jute),
- Four different colors of tissue paper (or as many as you want),
- A hot glue gun
Here’s how you do it: Take two pieces of tissue and layer them on top of each other.
Next fold them in half.
Then fold them in half again.
Cut fringe 3/4 of the way to the top.
Then unfold it and cut it down the middle.
Then unfold each half.
Next roll it up.
From the middle start rolling it up, and end when the fringe starts.
Last twist it around and seal it with some glue.
Slide them onto your twine and you’re good to go!
Here is the finished product!

See you tomorrow for the final day in the series where you see the final product!

Hey Shanna — what did you use for the silver ones?
Shanna says
I got the silver at Party City which is where I got the other tissue colors. It is a bit trickier to work with. It tends to have a static cling to it, but I thought it added a pop with the rest of the colors.
