Hello my friends!
Guess what today is? It’s Themed Furniture Thursday!
If you are new to the blog, this is where my blogging buddies and I choose a theme and interpret that theme however we want through our furniture makeover. This month’s theme was chocolate. Usually the color that comes to mind when you think of chocolate is brown. I didn’t have any pieces on hand that I wanted to stain or paint brown, so I decided to go with a white chocolate theme.
I found this vintage vanity at an estate sale last summer.
I knew right off the bat that it was a piece I was going to keep for myself.
I had been looking for a desk for quite awhile that I was going to use in our office. All of the ones I liked online were out of my price range, and this one was the exact shape and size I wanted, and all I needed to do was give it a paint job.
I gave it a coat of Amy Howard’s One Step Paint in Ballet White and then I gave the inside a coat of One Step in Table for One.
I also took off the hardware and gave it a coat of Krylon’s Bright Gold.
Amy Howard’s One Step paint doesn’t require wax to seal it, but since this was going to be a piece that received a lot of traffic, I went ahead and gave it a light coat just to be safe.
Now make sure you head over to check out all of the other lovely ladies projects in the links down below!

I love the way you redid the desk, it is beautiful. I had a sewing cabinet with the same opening as your’s is to sit under and one day I got up quickly and my left knee hit the sharp corner and tore the ligament and I had to have surgery for that and a couple years later had to have the knee replaced all because of poorly designed cabinet. I took it out and chopped it up so no one else would get hurt on it.. I would be very careful using it or you could put 4 more legs on it and make it safer.
