Perfect Sundresses for Women Over 40

Happy Friday friends! We can cross another quarantine week off the books! Not sure what’s happening where you live, but they are basically keeping things the same here for the next few weeks which means we still have no hairdressers! I’ll be completely grey by the time this is all over LOL! Our pups are so shaggy now they can hardly see! What’s the thing you have missed the most during the pandemic? Mine is definitely hair color and Mexican food!

Topher is still working from home and surprisingly enough we haven’t wanted to kill each other, so that’s a bonus. He has been having to make his conference calls from my office, with the pink pom pom curtains and teal bookcase in the background. A fact he is not thrilled with. We have been catching up on Prodigal Son, and if you aren’t watching it yet I highly recommend it! It keeps you on the edge of your seat!

Things have definitely been heating up here in Kansas. During the spring and summer I usually live in 2 things… sundresses and jumpsuits. Being over 40 I struggle with finding sundresses that are age appropriate. They seem to either be too short or too tight. The last thing I want to worry about when I’m sweating buckets is something skin tight! I don’t want to look like I’m going out clubbing, nor do I want to wear a mumu like my grams.

Today I found 4 amazing dresses that are perfect!

For reference I’m 5’7, a small in tops and a 6 in dresses with a pear shape body

The first dress is from the Gibson line and it is adorable! I love the ruffled smock neck, it’s the perfect length, and it ties with a bow in the back of the neck. It comes in several different colors, and it would be perfect for work, church or weddings (once we are able to go to them again!) This one runs TTS.

The next dress is an Amazon winner! It has a v-neck, buttons up the front and is a more casual fabric. It looks super cute on its own or with a jean jacket or cardigan. If you are between sizes go up as it runs tight across the bust.

You can’t get more comfortable than this little swing dress! It is so soft and comfy! I’m wearing a small. Again it would also be perfect with a jean jacket or cardigan.
