It’s Themed Furniture Thursday!
In case you’re new here, this is where a group of my blogging friends and I get together once a month and share our makeovers with a certain theme-of-the-month. Last month’s theme was black and here is the piece I made over.
This month’s theme is Storage/Organizational.
I found this giant dresser/armoire at an estate sale this summer. It was in relatively good shape, except for one side where there was a giant piece of veneer missing … which meant it needed to be painted.
The quickest selling pieces in my booth tend to be ones for children’s rooms, so I decided to use ivory and pink which I thought would be sweet in a nursery or little girl’s bedroom.
I painted it with Plaster Paint’s Sweet Cream and Parlor Pink.
I spray painted the handles and hinges with Rustoleum’s Ivory Bisque, and I finished-off the piece with Plaster Paint’s Paste Wax.
I think it turned out pretty cute!
Sorry the photos are a bit shadowy, but it was raining outside, and we couldn’t shoot outdoors, and there was some weird lighting going on in the house.
This baby will be heading down to my booth this weekend!

I knew this was your piece before clicking on the link – you always have such beautiful bright colors on your pieces. Just love what you did with this armoire – so feminine and pretty. Painting the interior drawer fronts pink is so pretty too. I have a feeling this isn’t going to last long in your booth Shanna!
