Happy Friday friends! I hope you all had a great week and are ready to relax or do something fun this weekend.
I thought that I would share a new furniture makeover with you today! I picked up this vintage vanity at an estate sale last year, and for the longest time I couldn’t come up with a plan for it. I knew I was going to paint it, because most of the veneer on both sides was missing and the top was in really rough shape.
I finally came up with a plan and got to work.
The lovely people over at Country Chic Paint sent me some goodies to try out, and I am loving their paint line!
I decided to use their All-in-One paint in Vintage Cupcake, Rocky Mountain and Simplicity along with their Metallic Cream in Pocket Watch (which I am obsessed with)!
What I love about their All-in-One paint is that it is exactly what it sounds like: you don’t need any primer or wax/topcoat — everything you need is built right into it. It also has terrific coverage, so you don’t have to use a million coats, and it showed very few brush strokes.
Originally I had painted the piece with just the paint, but it was lacking a little … pizzazz.
I decided to give the vanity a bit of glamour by adding the Metallic Cream.
The Metallic cream is sheer but you can build up the color with more coats. On my piece I used quite a few coats so it would really pop.
I was thrilled with the results! Wouldn’t this be a pretty piece in a little girls bedroom or a beautiful powder room?

Fabulous Finds for the Farmhouse Lover
Oh wow this is stunning, Shanna!! LOVE the gold accent details!! XO
What a transformation! You are correct that this piece would really be the cherry on top in a girls room, walk in closet, or powder room. The colors really stand out and make a drastic and stunning impact.
Wow. It turned out so cute and elegant Shanna! Love the combination of pink and gold. How do you managed to paint the small details with Gold without spilling?
