Today is the Furniture Themed Thursday Tour!!!
This month our theme is “Inspired By“. We were to pick a piece of furniture from a store, or done by someone else, and do our own take on it.
My Inspiration piece was this gorgeous dresser that I saw on Dear Lillie.
I love the grey and the gold together. I have done many color combinations over the years, but not this one.
I picked-up this french provincial nightstand at an estate sale the other day.
It had good bones, but it definitely needed some updating.
I painted it with two coats of Plaster Paint in Grey Silk, and then I went over the trim with Plaster Paint’s Gold Bling using a small brush.
I then went over the whole piece with clear wax and spray painted the handles gold, too.
Now I know it’s not the same grand piece that I was inspired by, but I was really happy with the color combination.

I’m with you…I love mixing gold and silver. Been doing that a lot that way with clothes and jewelry! This turned out beautifully!!! I need to try that brand of paint! ~Christy

Love this I have the whole set in my daughters room.. It was my moms when she was little!! We re painted them white with sliver.. But love the pop of color u have it!!!
