I kind of feel bad. Most of my readers and blogging friends are in the middle of a blizzard, and here in Kansas it has been 70 degrees. I have been walking the pups, spray painting outside, opening-up the windows, and grilling-up burgers and hot dogs like it’s Spring. Before you get too jealous, though, know that today is the last day of this glorious weather before we too take the plunge. They are calling for snow here on Saturday.
Just like the saying goes, if you don’t like the weather in Kansas, wait five minutes and it will change…
Ugh! As I have said before I am not a winter girl.
Last week I showed you how I swapped out my old tv console for this one.
The previous console was still in good shape, but a little dark and … blah. I decided to give it a little makeover before I took it down to my furniture booth.
I painted on two coats of Plaster Paint in Sweet Cream.
I then used my Cutting Edge stencil to stencil the top of it with Plaster Paint in Flannel.
Finally, I distressed the entire piece and switched out the knobs with some that I found at Hobby Lobby.

I love the results. Great job. I was wondering if you would do a tutorial post on your method for removing drawers and replacing with open shelves. I’m pretty good at figuring these things out , if I do say so. For some reason, this eludes me and I end up with a shameful mess. Thanks in advance (I hope!).

Thanks Linda! Actually on this piece I didn’t have to remove any drawers since it only had the bottom two. I do have a piece coming up soon that I will be removing some drawers from and I will try to do a thorough tutorial on it for you!
