As you all know I have been a little behind on the Easter decor since I have been getting ready to open my new furniture space. Topher and I have been running around like crazy people painting, driving back and forth, and hauling all my pieces down there.
The good news is it opens today!! It is called RElove All Things Shabby and is at 515 N Woodlawn, at the corner of Central and Woodlawn for all of you locals. You will know mine right away as it is the turquoise striped booth (I will try to show you pictures tomorrow).
The space has 10 different vendors with everything from furniture, to homemade candles and jewelry. There are some really talented ladies that have all worked their behinds off to get this off the ground. I hope some of you can stop by!
This week, some of my blogging friends and I are doing an Easter Showcase!
With all of the craziness going on, Easter decor this year meant two thing to me: quick and easy. This bunny silhouette is both.
Here is what you will need:
- Some scraps of colored paper
- A cheap 8 X 10 frame (mine came from Dollar Tree)
- An 8 X10 piece of paper
- A glue gun
- A rabbit silhouette
- Spray paint (any color you choose), and
- A piece of thick scrapbook paper
First, I started off by spray painting my frame with two coats of paint. While my frame dried I started cutting out strips of colored paper.
I then glued them all up and down my piece of paper.
Next I Googled a bunny silhouette and printed it off. I then cut it out and traced it onto my piece of cardstock.
I then cut out the traced image.
Last I laid-out my striped paper into my frame with the cut out silhouette on top, and placed the frame glass on top of that.
I was really pleased with how it turned out, and it was just as I said: quick and easy!
