Hey there!
I’m back with another tool review, compliments of Ryobi!
Earlier in the season, Ryobi Tools sent us their 40-volt cordless mower to try out (and I love it!).
Today, I’m reviewing of two of their other 40-volt cordless tools:
- their cordless leaf blower, and
- their cordless trimmer.
In a nutshell … they’re great!
I don’t really do too well with engines, so my ideal tool is one that has the muscle and mobility of a gas-powered tool, but the simplicity of an electric tool.
Ryobi knocks it out of the park with this line!
The leaf blower worked great! I managed to circle the entire yard, blow some cobwebs and leaves off the deck, and even tackled the nasty corners of my garage.
And the trimmer …. WOW! It surprised me how much power it had. Thankfully, it has a variable speed throttle, so if I didn’t need it full-bore all the time, I could back it off.
What I also LOVE about this trimmer is that it’s part of their Expand-It line, so I can use other tools interchangeably with the power head as I acquire them! I’m already eyeing their tiller/cultivator attachment…
My video review is below. Please take 5 minutes and check it out!
Although Ryobi was gracious enough to send us these sweet tools, the comments and opinions in this review are entirely my own.

He did a great job on the video! I love these Ryobi tools simply for the fact that the battery is interchangeable and lasts through the entire project! What a time saver. I always hate having to worry if I run out of gas or for electric tools I have to deal with the cord….its always tangled. LOL

Ryobi does make great tools for the money, I am a big fan of high end corded tools, however with cordless tools it isn’t worth to pay big bucks, as the batteries are eventually going to die regardless if you paid 100$ for Ryobi or $300 for Metabo.
