Today, I thought I would share my super easy Heart Pom Pom Pillows with you! They are perfect for a little girl’s room or as a Valentine’s Day gift.
All you need are some old pillows (or pillow covers), a hot glue gun, and some felt.
I picked-up these pillow covers at Hobby Lobby for $9.99 each, but I used their online 40% off coupons which made them a bit better.
I then inserted a couple of old pillows that I had laying around, and then went to work.
Next I tile printed off a heart graphic using the same instructions that I used in my Ruffle Trim Heart tutorial. Basically, I found an image, opened it in MS Publisher, set it up for Poster Printing, sized it to fit, printed it across four pages, and then cut and taped.
I then traced my heart in chalk on my pillow cover.
Next, I cut the felt into strips. I cut mine 8 inches long, but you can make them longer or shorter depending on how big you want your pom poms.
Then hot glue your strips in half long ways. Then cut slits across one side, about halfway through your strip, and about every quarter of an inch.
Next start rolling your strips, sealing them with hot glue when you get to the end.
This is how they should look.
Start gluing your pom poms onto your pillow right along your chalk line.
Once you have filled in your whole heart outline you are finished!
Super easy and perfect for Valentine’s Day!
