Happy Wednesday friends! I took it easy this past weekend! I had a sleepover at my brother and sister-in-law’s last week where I had to get my 6 year old and twin 3 year old nieces off to school this morning. Sleeping in bed with a 6 year old, who literally moves all night, takes all of the covers and tends to be draped all over you resulted in zero sleep. Then one of the twins woke up at 2:00 am screaming, and then decided to get up for the day at 4:00 am along with the other twin. So to say I was glad to sleep in my own bed when I got back home was an understatement.
I did have fun with the girls, and I was pretty proud that I got them all dressed and ready for school, including a double french braid, a ponytail and pigtails. It’s been so long since I had to get a kiddo to school I forgot how much work it can be. An itchy sweater, a tag that bugs them or a weird seam in the socks can send a little one off the deep end!
I was out the other day and everywhere you go it is Valentine’s Day palooza! I know some people don’t like the holiday and say it’s just a way to get people to fork out money. While it is, it is also a day where you take time out to appreciate your significant other and have a night out with each other. With life always being so busy sometimes we get in a rut and don’t make time to have a date night where you can reconnect.
