Hello friends!
Last week was a little crazy! Our daughter turned 21! You always feel older with each passing birthday, but it’s when your children start hitting these bigger milestone birthdays that you really start to feel old! The family went out to dinner Tuesday night to celebrate, which was fun as it’s hard to get everyone together. The next day I was in a store when I got a phone call from my daughter. She had just gone into a liquor store and had bought her first bottle of champagne. She was so proud of herself. I asked her if she was planning on drinking it that night and her response was “no I just wanted to get carded,” and it’s been sitting in our fridge ever since. I was a wild child in high school, and I was totally prepared to have it come back and bite me in the butt when I had my daughter. No one was more surprised then me to have a pretty mellow child that has given us no trouble (except for some hormonal mood swings from the ages of 12-14). All in all we are so proud of the smart, brave, beautiful woman she has grown into!
