Happy Monday my friends! I hope you all had a good weekend! I spent mine painting the trim in my hallway. It doesn't sound like a bit project, but by the time you get it all taped off, remove hardware from where the doors are, and get three coats of paint on it, it consumes your whole weekend. I have one touch up coat to do today, and I'm finished! I can't believe how much better it looks with the white paint than the honey oak ... which I'm so over. After the trim is finished, I can get ... VIEW POST

How to Build an Eclectic Gallery Wall-Decorating Challenge
Today I have a project for you that has been under wraps for quite a while. After we installed our new carpet in the basement, the first thing I did was build my new gallery wall. One of my favorite things to look at when I go into people's homes, virtually or in real life, are their gallery walls. I think they reveal a lot about the homeowner's personality. I have been hoarding gathering items for my gallery for a long time, and until recently they were just setting in my storage ... VIEW POST
Haven Recap 2015
Happy Monday everyone!!! I hope you all had a good weekend! Mine was not nearly as productive as I had hoped. As I mentioned last week, I am getting ready to re paint the entire upper level of my home. I have been living in the Land of Beige for the last 10 years, and I am so over it. I am now going with grey, but I had no idea what an ordeal it would be. I went all over last weekend, going from store to store, buying samples of grey paint. One was too blue, several too lilac, some too white, ... VIEW POST
Haven Conference 2015
Hello my friends! I'm back! If you've been following along, you know that I was in Atlanta for a few days for the Haven Bloggers Conference. This is my third year attending, and I look forward to it all year. Blogging is kind of a strange thing. Unless you are one, most people have no idea what they are. You have no idea how many times I have had this conversation: "What is it that you do?" "I'm a blogger." "What is that exactly?" "I run a DIY website." ".......So that's what ... VIEW POST
Yard Sale Clock to Upscale Cloche
I will be taking-off for the Haven Bloggers Conference in Atlanta on Thursday morning. It has been a hellaciously hot week here in the 100's, and I would like to think I am going somewhere cooler ... but that is probably not the case. My flight leaves at 5 freaking AM, and for someone that has extreme insomnia and doesn't usually go to sleep until 4 am, I'm guessing it means I will be arriving without having gone to sleep. Being from Kansas, I know what humidity is. Atlanta gives a whole ... VIEW POST
June in Review
June flew by for me! I constantly felt like I was running behind, and I didn't get much done, but when I look back on my posts for the month ... I guess I did accomplish more than I thought. As far as our personal lives went, we celebrated my mom's BD, our 18th wedding anniversary, babysat for my niece, and spent a few days in Kansas City while Topher had a conference to attend. Next week I will be in Atlanta attending a blogging conference, so I am rushing around trying to get some ... VIEW POST
Red Plaster Painted Vintage Dresser Makeover
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good 4th! Ours was very low key. We finished our work around the house early, then we worked out, grilled out, and then hung out with the neighbors while watching the fireworks. We have some new neighbors down the street who bought a ton of huge fireworks, so we just sat back and enjoyed. Sunday was hot as the blazes of Hell, so I stayed inside and finished up the project down below. My parents found today's piece at an estate sale at 75% off on the ... VIEW POST
