Happy Friday Friends!

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen a name change. I slowly converting over, but in the next couple of weeks the blog name will change to Daily Dose of Style. As I have branched out into fashion, Restoration Redoux is no longer a good fit. With the new name, both fashion and decor will fit under that umbrella.

Is it a big headache to switch names? Definitely. But hopefully within a couple of weeks I should have everything transferred over.

MY IG ACCOUNT IS NOW A WHOLE DIFFERENT ACCOUNT.

Sorry to yell, but I don’t want people to get frustrated. If you used to follow me on @RestorationRedoux, you will now want to follow me over at @DailyDoseofStyleSG. You might wonder why I switched IG accounts, and the reason is that once I switched from all DIY posts to more fashion posts, IG was no longer showing my posts to you. With almost 16K followers I would only end up with 50-100 of you actually seeing my posts. Whether I was being penalized for changing genres or what the situation was I don’t know. All I know is that I set up my new account yesterday, and I’m already seeing more engagement on I than I did with my much larger account. With all of that being said, if you start to see someone in your feeds with the name Daily Dose of Style using my photos … that is little old me!

Happy Friday Friends!

We have been loving the cooler weather here in Kansas! Although for the next week it looks like we are going to have rain everyday. It’s been a busy week around here.

Topher was out of town, but got back last night which means Charlie can function again. For all of you new followers, Topher is my hubby and Charlie is my 6lb. Maltese. Those two are brothers from another mother. When Topher goes out of town for work, Charlie just sits around here pouting and so distraught. Any little noise he hears, he goes flying up the stairs and starts barking like crazy thinking that he is home. Him doing this all night long freaks me out thinking that someone is trying to break in. So needless to say … I get zero sleep until that hubby of mine comes home.

Today I’m babysitting my 10 month old nieces, tomorrow is my 4 year old niece’s birthday party, tomorrow night is dinner with my in-laws, and Sunday is my normal day where I do my shoot for the upcoming week. Although with all this rain in the forecast, we will see how that goes.

Hello my friends!

I know a lot of you are like me in the way that I love a good deal. I have a hard time paying full price for almost anything.

That being said I have a gift closet. You might ask what that is? It is where I store the gifts that I buy throughout the year when I find great sales, and I save them for when I have someone’s birthday, a wedding or for Christmas. That way I’m always prepared, and I don’t have to run out and buy something at full price because I forgot Aunt Sally’s birthday. It also helps my budget when I don’t get slammed in December, having to buy everyone’s gifts all in one month! You also never know when the new neighbor from next door will pop over with a Christmas gift for you, and you have zilch for her and look like a schmuck.

I just run into my gift closet and pull out a pretty throw, and she’s none the wiser.

As many of you know, Nordstrom is having their giant Anniversary sale where they have tons of new Fall, just-hitting-the-floor merchandise on sale right now. …
