By this time, you have heard Charlie, Gracie, and Lulu's stories, so I had to include the last member of the pack: Kitten. Kitten has been with me through ... well, everything. I rescued her from the Humane Society the summer after I graduated high school 19 years ago (yes, I know I just leaked how old I am). She was a 6 month old ball of fluff and was stretching her arm out of the cage trying to reach me. Her eyes were pleading, and I knew I had to take her home. Now she hasn't always ... VIEW POST

Q and A Answer Day!!!
Forever ago, we had Q and A day, and Thank You to all of you who picked my brain. Sorry it took me forever to get back to you. Now I am not an expert in just about anything, but I will do my best to fill you with knowledge. Nicole's question was What was your best furniture find? Do you have a before and after picture. I actually have three favorites. The desk I recently did. I liked the character this piece had and I really was happy with the paint color against the stained top. On the ... VIEW POST
Just One Shade Of Gray
I was in the car the other day, waiting to pick up the unnamed child from school. I was looking at my iPhone and thinking about how much it helps me with my blog throughout the day. I get my comments from you awesome readers, no matter where I am. It also lets me know what my numbers are for the day and when I have new followers (thank you to all who have been spreading the word). I always have this amazing piece of technology with me. That started me thinking about what things I could, and ... VIEW POST
Turquoise Antique Dresser (aka Thrift Store Gold)
I'm so glad it's a new week! Last week ... well frankly it sucked. It started it out with me burning a big chunk of skin off my finger while hot gluing my book page wreath together. It got better when I had a massive migraine for 5 days -- "thank you" to my great Facebook followers for your home remedy solutions! One afternoon while picking up the unnamed child, some punk in the school parking lot hit my car and drove off! Fantastic! Then some point in my adventures, I ran over a nail and ... VIEW POST
I Almost Forgot!!!!
Guess what I missed on Monday? National Dress Your Pet Up Day! I know! How could I have missed that? To celebrate (a bit late) here are some pics of my puppy posse. Now ... nobody needs to tell me that dressing up a pet is mean. I literally dress them up for maybe five minutes once a year. These are the most spoiled rotten, pampered dogs you have ever met (Charlie won't even step off the deck to potty if there is dew on the ground -- God forbid he get his delicate little paws wet). So we ... VIEW POST
Book Page Wreath Tutorial
Hey Guys! A few months ago I posted a picture of a book page wreath I made. Since then, I have received lots of requests for me to do a tutorial on how to make one. Ask and ye shall receive. This is not a hard project, but it is a time-consuming one. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to complete this wreath. ... VIEW POST
Freak Out
I have good news! I am doing my very first craft show February 2nd. The bad news: I have nothing ready for it. I am not exaggerating here people. I am freaking out! I had custom pieces that nearly killed me, due right up until Christmas Eve day. I kept telling myself that if I could just hold out until Christmas, I would then give myself a few weeks off to recuperate and regroup. Then I found out I was doing this craft show, and I only had 4 weeks to get ready for it. I felt a bit ... VIEW POST
