This time of year, I’m so busy it’s not uncommon to see me running around like my hair is on fire.
Topher has two holiday parties, I have one for the store, we host a couple of different family parties ourselves. Not to mention all of my Christmas tours for the blog and eight million custom pieces I’m doing for clients.
But here’s the thing, even though I have zero time, I still want my house to look cute. Since I don’t have 3 hours to sit and make a wreath, I had to think of something quick and easy.
Here’s what I did:
I got a styrofoam wreath for 50% at Michael’s using a coupon.
Also at Michael’s, I grabbed some white feather boas in the children’s section.
I didn’t get the super fluffy ones, I got the ones that look a bit deflated — kind of like a cat’s tail. I needed four of them. They were around $4 a piece, and I used my 50% off coupons on them also.
Just hot glue one end of the boa to the back of the wreath form and then start wrapping it around the form, ending it on the same side you started, and seal it with some glue.
Then start with the next boa. You don’t have to glue it as you go around, just at the beginning and end of the boa.
Once you have all 4 wrapped around, you are done my friend!
I made a turquoise bow to wrap around the top of mine to attach to my frame.
I love that it looks soft and delicate, and I know I will use it year after year. I can just change out the ribbon if I change out to match my Christmas decor colors.
This literally took me 15 minutes start to end!
Now that’s my kind of project!
