I found this bookshelf/cabinet-ish piece at a yard sale for $10.
It had a veneer top and cheap paneling on the back.
I painted the entire piece with Plaster Paint in Sweet Cream and distressed it.
I then removed the back piece of paneling, sprayed it with spray adhesive, and laid a piece of fabric over it. I then laid a heavy piece of wood on top to hold it in place until the adhesive, and then I cut off any extra fabric.
I then nailed the panel back in place.
I coated the whole piece in Plaster Paint’s Paste wax and buffed it off.
I love how much the fabric adds to it! It think it would be a super cute bookshelf or tv console!

In this piece I really see the artisian workmanship in your destressing, Shanna…..it’s there in all of your pieces, but my eye connected with a feeling inside me on this piece….something about the eggsell tone and the maple brown underneath looks like an authentic antique!!!! Superb work once again. Did you ever dream you would one day be an artist? A craftsman? So refreshing seeing this side of you! Pairing those talents with your business woman mind, and wow! You have arrived!!! That is very encouraging to us readers!
This indicates you are feeling better, hopefully, or just pushing through, per usual? Rest up…its The Sabbath my friend. (Hugs)
