Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend! I had lots of furniture pieces picked up by clients, so I feel a little less like a hoarder — which is a relief! I also worked on several projects, including the one I was going to show you today … but it hit a little snafu. Ugh, I hate it when that happens.
When I put the topcoat on the thing I painted, the dang paint started to bubble up. At that point it was already 8:30, and it was too late to start over. I’m working on fixing that today and hopefully will have it ready to reveal tomorrow.
So I thought I would show you some of my newest finds.
I went to pick up a table off of Craigslist last weekend, and while I was there I hit the vintage mirror jackpot.
Oh, did I mention they were super cheap? Score!
I couldn’t resist so I got this (please disregard all of the crap and the arm with pajamas on it reflected in all of the mirrors):
This one will be part of tomorrow’s project.
I know this one is kind of strange, but wouldn’t it be cool painted it a bright color as a magic mirror in a little girl’s room or at a trendy hair salon? The photo doesn’t really show how large this silly thing is … but it’s big.
I loved this one, and yes those are future project pieces in the background — please don’t judge.
This one is my favorite. Looks like the wicked witch from Snow White should be reflected back. Oh, wait that’s my arm … I’m sure the unnamed child would say the wicked witch is being reflected back lol!
Then these were my latest finds from Goodwill. This old plaster mirror has a great shape.
Finally this great old lamp with prisms. I think once this is cleaned up and a great new shade is on it, it will be gorgeous!
So right now I’m trying to decide what to sell and what to keep. Of course Topher says sell it all!
I was thinking about doing a whole wall of mirrors in my living room. So for now, they will be going down to the basement until I come up with a plan for them.
It’s nice and warm here today, so I think I’m going to take the pups out for a walk and then get started on some dining room chairs.
See you tomorrow!
