Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend!
Let’s see what I did…. I cleaned, cleaned some more, painted, and binge-watched Blacklist (Topher and I are obsessed with it). If you aren’t watching it and you have Netflix, you might need to start watching now. We are addicted!
I also added a bit more Halloween decor out, so stay tuned this week for the rest of the spooky tour.
The kiddo only has school two days this week, so I am going to try to wrangle her into helping me with a few projects. I’m sure she will be super excited.
Last spring, my mom and I were out at yard sales and came across this secretary.
There was nothing wrong with it … it was just a bit boring and had some deep scratches.
I cleaned-off all of the dirt and grime with a damp washcloth. Next I painted the outside with Plaster Paint’s Sweet Cream.
The inside, I painted with a 50/50 portion of PP’s Ocean Breeze and Seaside.
I removed the hardware and repainted it with Rustoleum’s Black Satin.
Once the paint was dry, I went to The Graphics Fairy and printed-out a French graphic. I used the same transfer method I used here.
Once the graphic was dry, I replaced my hardware and gave the whole piece a coat of Plaster Paint’s Paste Wax and buffed it off.
I think it looks a whole lot better!
Here are a few of my other Parisian inspired pieces
Gorgeous, Shanna! XO
I really love what you did with this piece Shanna. Talk about adding tons of character to an otherwise comme ci comme ça desk. Magnifique!
What a gorgeous piece, and with that storage cubby there’s so many ways this could be put to good use. Love it, Shanna!!
