Vintage Grey Distressed Chair

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend!

I was going to city-wide yard sales Saturday, but with the rain and freezing temperatures, we decided to pass.

I did, however, take the fur babies to get groomed … and that was a disaster. Topher and I had all three of them freaking-out in the car while the rain was pouring on us.

Gracie freaked out so much she pooped in the back of the car (my car, too), and then in frantic pacing managed to walk through it! Poop paw prints all over my car, and the smell was making us literally gag!

So we pulled over and in the torrential rain, and Topher tried to clean up the dog and the car. By the time we got to the groomer’s, we looked like drowned rats and smelled like … well, you know what.

After a thorough cleaning of my car and the burning of our clothes, we got to work. I painted the entire weekend. I’m not sure what hurts worse, my right hand or my back.

I am working on a giant project right now that hopefully will be finished by Friday. I was working on another makeover for you until midnight last night, but I just didn’t have it in me to finish. I will have that ready for you tomorrow.

Remember the grey nightstand I did? And the grey desk that went with it? Well this is the vintage chair that my client brought me to go with the desk.

I painted it the same grey chalkpaint as the desk, then distressed and waxed it. My client will be recovering the seat with a new fabric, so the embroidery will probably be going away.

The big project I’m working on goes in the same room with the other pieces, so once it is all assembled, it should look pretty fantastic!
