Client’s Bedroom Makeover

I’m very excited for today’s post!

Over the past year, selling all sorts of furniture pieces, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting quite a few amazing people.  One of my favorites is a client (now a friend) named Teresa.  Teresa brought me a piece to do.  And then one more.  And then another.  And another.  Together, we’ve been able to put together a pretty amazing, one-of-a-kind guest bedroom — and she recently sent me pictures now that it’s almost complete.

I started by doing the vanity turned desk makeover.

Then we moved onto the nightstand makeover.

 Lastly, we finished off with the giant grey dresser makeover.

I haven’t written about the headboard I did for her (and again … I forgot to take the before pic until I had it halfway painted).

Naturally, there is a story behind this headboard: I saw this headboard on Craigslist. It had a great shape, and knowing Teresa was looking for one, I sent her the photo.

Well the photo was really grainy and dark, and it looked like a wood finish in the photo. We decided she wanted it and the people were so nice they offered to deliver it to my house.

When the very sketchy looking couple pulled-up with this gold glimmering eyesore strapped to there car, I almost passed out! In no way did I think this puppy was gold! What was I going to do with that? Was that surface even paintable? Well thank God that it was and it looked a whole lot better once it was black!

I am currently working on a mirror makeover for the same room. She made the room yellow and grey and I love how it all came together. She has great taste!

Since we met, Teresa has had a darling baby boy, who I can’t wait to meet!
