Father’s Day Gift Guide

Happy Friday friends!

Yesterday was my 21st wedding anniversary! 21 years ago I was sweating buckets in a giant, million-pound, poofy wedding dress standing outside taking pictures, with my bouquet getting swarmed with bees! I spent all this time getting ready, and our ceremony was only 13 minutes long from start to finish — not that we were complaining. We were babies. I was 21, and Topher was 22. Back then it seemed a totally normal age, but looking back it seems so young! Anyway, to celebrate we went out to dinner at a darling French bistro here in town which was AMAZING! We absolutely stuffed ourselves and had one of our best meals we have ever had at a restaurant here in Wichita. If you need me today, I’ll be at the gym for endless hours trying to work off the banana nutella crepes … but they were so worth it!

Next weekend we will be celebrating Father’s Day! I don’t know about you, but I find all the dad’s in my life the hardest people on the planet to shop for. They usually give you zero direction as far as what they want, so I have spent some serious time creating this Father’s Day Gift Guide. There are gifts of all price ranges that work for dad’s that are into everything from golf, travel, lounge-wear, to the latest tech products out there.

30 Statement Earrings Under $30

Happy Friday Friends! Wow, did this week fly by! I’m pretty sure we need more of these 3 day weekends so that our weeks don’t feel so never ending.

If you have a minute please add my momma to your prayers as she has been suffering with a terrible case of bronchitis. It’s been so bad it has landed her in the ER twice in the last week.

This weekend, I will be trying to put some finishing touches on my office makeover. If any of you see a great deal on a very feminine looking white desk with lots of storage please … let me know! The one I have is super cute, but just isn’t functional for my purposes as it just does not have enough storage space.

One of my favorite things I love about summer fashion is bright pops of color.

One great way to give a basic summer outfit a little pizazz is a great, bold statement earring. I don’t mind spending extra money on certain items that I know I will use over and over again, like a great purse or pair of shoes, but as far as earrings go I like to stay as economical as possible. Spending over $50 on a pair of earrings just doesn’t fly for me unless it’s for a very special occasion.

Mother Daughter Summer Dresses

Happy Memorial Day friends! I hope you have all been having a great weekend!

I’ve got exciting news for you today! If you have been following me for awhile you will know that I have a daughter. I have always referred to her as “the unnamed child” throughout the years, so I was able to freely tell stories about her without embarrassing her. Let’s face it, when your kid is in middle school, simply breathing in public will cause embarrassment for them, so for me to post photos or to write stories about her and have people know her name was completely off limits.

Fast forward a few years, and the “unnamed child” is now 20 and is now a little more lax on her rules.

White Floral Off the Shoulder Dress

Good morning friends! I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day weekend! Topher made me a wonderful brunch and got me a facial. My daughter got me some beautiful flowers and spent the day watching movies with me. Just getting to spend time with your busy kiddos is all you can ask for isn’t it? I’m on my way over to babysit my twin 18 month old nieces today, so I will get right down to business.

As I have mentioned before, being a style blogger in Kansas can be a bit challenging because it’s either too cold here and everything is brown and dead, or it’s too hot and everything is brown and dead. Pretty backgrounds to shoot around are few and far between. We do have a very beautiful botanical garden here in Wichita, and for a couple of weeks it is all decked out in the most beautiful tulips you have ever seen, so I took full advantage of shooting there!

This gorgeous white floral off the shoulder dress is my new favorite piece! It’s so flowy and romantic. It’s perfect for summer weddings, graduations or to take on vacations. It’s also super affordable at only $38! It runs true to size as I always wear a medium in this brands dresses. (They have a size chart on the site to go off of.)

It sold out once and was restocked yesterday. I will be surprised if it lasts through the end of the day so grab it quickly!…

30 Under $30

Happy Friday Friends! Is it just me or has it seemed like the longest week ever?

Somehow, we have skipped right by spring and went straight into summer here in Kansas! It has been a hot one here!

We have a busy weekend ahead of us! Graduations and Mother’s Day and a million things to do around the house! Topher always makes me a sweet Mother’s Day Brunch, so I am looking forward to that!

Today I thought I would share with you my top 30 Under $30!

There’s a mixture of fun accessories, cute sundresses, summer tops, and cute shoes. I just got in the striped sleeveless dress, and it fits so well and is so cute on! I have the little bow slides, and I wear them all of the time! I just got in the hat with the little pink pom poms, and it is adorable! I just ordered the orange ruffle off the shoulder top, too! It will be cute with summer skirts as well as white jeans and denim shorts!

It is Mother’s Day weekend so now is the time to treat yourself!…

Navy + White Striped Jumpsuit

Happy Friday friends! I hope you all have had a great week! I have been doing some major spring cleaning this week! Doesn’t it feel good doing a little de-cluttering?

My hubby’s workplace is hosting their yearly zoo day, and we are taking our daughter, her boyfriend, and our 4-year-old niece. Our niece will be having a sleepover with us tomorrow night too. I love that she gets so excited to come stay with us! She’s always so lovey and tells us thank you for all her new fun goodies we have for her. I stocked-up on spray on chalk, apple juice that comes in princess bottles, some refill papers for the Lite Bright and some new books I picked up at a yard sale. She has a challenge with Topher (my hubby for any newbies) every morning to make her pancakes shaped into something like a bear. Last time she stepped it up and asked for a unicorn. Topher was up to the challenge and somehow pulled it off. We always have to snapchat her mom and dad showing off her fancy pancake!

We have been having some beautiful weather here lately (between some massive storms), and I’ve been excited to be able to break out some of my new warm weather clothes. This navy + white striped jumpsuit is one of my new favorites!…
