Hello my friends! Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! That, of course, means if you are going to order something for your sweetie you better do it soon!

Whether it’s an exchange between you and your spouse, or you’re going to have a Valentine’s Day gift exchange with a friend, I figured you might need some ideas.

Today’s post is Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for the Ladies.

Now it’s nice to be able to depend on the guy in your life to pick out something great on his own, but we all know that sometimes they need a little nudge in the right direction. As I have learned through the years, guys don’t take subtle hints, so it can help if you just make a list of goodies you want and hand it over so they can pick one or two.

We have found that that system works best for us.

That way he still gets to surprise me because I’m not sure what things off the list that I’ll get, but I am assured that I am getting something I am excited about….

Hello my friends! Did you think I disappeared?

It took me awhile after Christmas to get back into the groove. Am I the only who has no motivation this time of year?

I was looking through some of my past projects when I remembered that I hadn’t shared the unnamed child’s bedroom makeover with you.

She had decided she wanted her room to be a bit more grown up, but maintain a little playfulness to it, so we got to work.

The first thing we did was paint the room the same color that we used upstairs, which was from Pittsburgh Paints in Greystone.

We then used their Wonder-Tone paint since it has a high durability for the trim.

We then painted her black furniture and chandelier white to brighten things up.

Here’s what it looked like before.

And after a little paint and magic…

She wanted to use turquoise and coral as her accent colors, so we spray painted some frames and decorative pieces that we picked up from yard sales.

My friends from Minted sent us this gorgeous Blush Blossoms Art Print, which went perfectly with her color scheme.

My upcycled succulent planter looked perfect next to it.

I bought a letter S (her initial) from Michael’s and glued faux flowers to it and placed it in a vintage frame from Goodwill.

I picked up a couple of pillow covers from Amazon for less than $5 a piece to throw on her chair.

I got the super cute bedding from my friends at Beddingstyle. It is their City Scene Branches Grey Comforter.

Overall we thought it all turned out pretty cute and will all be adult enough for her to take with her when she moves into an apartment.
