I hope you had a great weekend! I cleaned (ugh), got some painting done, worked on two fun projects, a cool new project and one intended for today. Small problem … it didn’t work out. At all.
I was trying to glue two substances together, and no matter how hard I tried they repelled each other. Epic fail my friends.
So I will not be showing that today, but I do have some fun new little goodies that I have been meaning to show you.
Do you remember the blue opulence chandelier I bought off Craigslist a few months back? This is one of my favorite Craigslist finds ever, and Topher got that baby rewired and installed for me.
Let’s just say if we have a fire and every member of the family is out of the house, the firemen will have a hard time dragging me out because I will be busy unscrewing this from the ceiling.

I spent time reorganizing all my hoarded furniture in the basement, cleaning-up, I went to see my sweet baby niece, the unnamed child and I watched Snow White and the Huntsman (which was pretty good until the last 5 seconds), and I finished this next furniture piece.
I found this green cabinet at a yard sale….
While getting ready for my Halloween Home Tour, I pulled an old buffet out of my basement that had been sitting there for quite a while. We’ve moved it with us, from home to home, for over 15 years, and during that time it was used for all sorts of purposes, and stored all sorts of goodies.
Up until two weeks ago, it was in storage being used for stashing old photos, and there were tons of currently-not-in-use-just-waiting-for-the-perfect-spot things stacked on top.
The top was badly scratched from when Topher would store computer parts and tools on top of it, and there were pieces of the veneer that had to be replaced from the unnamed child running her tricycle into it years ago….
This week, we are breaking-down some of the projects used for last week’s Halloween Home Tour.
