Today is the final day in my How To Host A Baby Shower series. So far we have covered how to make a Diaper Cake, a Flag Bunting, a Tulle Wreath and a Tissue Paper Bunting. Today I thought I would show you the finale: the dessert table.
How to Host a Baby Shower, Part 4 (Tissue Paper Bunting)
Happy Monday Everyone!!! I hope everyone celebrated a great Father’s Day with their loved ones!
Well, the couples baby shower I threw for my brother and sister-in-law Saturday went off without a hitch! The house was packed, but the food was good, and I got a ton of compliments on the decorations. I even had several people want me to help decorate their homes.
Last week, getting ready for the shower, I was on hyper-mode with no sleep, and yesterday I did absolutely nothing. I slept for 10 hours straight, and felt like I had waken from a coma. We took Topher out for Mexican food, and then watched movies for the rest of the day. (Fun Size is a cute movie by the way).
Onto the next step in our How To Host a Baby Shower Series.

How to Host a Baby Shower, Part 3
Today is day three of my How To Host a Baby Shower series.
We are T-Minus 3 Days until the couples shower I’m hosting for my brother and sister-in-law. I’m kind of freaking out. I have so much left to do and not nearly enough time to do it.
Here is one more thing I can cross of my list. I made a wreath to go on the front door. I planned on giving you a big tutorial on how to make this, but it is seriously so simple it would be a two step tutorial.
All you need is a wreath form and tulle.

How to Host a Baby Shower, Part 2 (flag bunting)
The couples baby shower I am going to host for my brother and sister-in-law is in 4 days, and I’m frantically trying to cross things off my To Do list.
Yesterday I showed you my tutorial on How to Make a Diaper Cake. Today is the flag bunting for the front of the table. Here is what you will need:…
How to Host a Baby Shower, Part 1 (the diaper cake)
Happy Monday! I hope you guys had a great weekend!
Topher and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary in Kansas City. Sixteen years and we haven’t killed each other yet! Lots of fun vintage shopping where we saw some beautiful (and some bizarre) things. To see some of the fun pics of our weekend check out my new account over at Instagram.
Next Saturday, I’m hosting a couples baby shower for my brother and sister-in-law, and I’m in panic mode. The house is nowhere clean enough, the decorations aren’t ready yet, not sure about all of the food, and I have no idea what I’m going to wear. So for the next five days, I’m doing a step by step series on how to host a baby shower (since I have no available time to work on furniture).
Let’s start with the center piece. The Diaper Cake.

Grey Headboard Makeover and What the Heck’s Valley Swirl?
Now that school is out, the unnamed child and I have been spending more time together, and I have hired her to help me with my furniture business for the summer. When you are 15, and saving for a car, you take work where you can get it. So far it’s been a success — we haven’t even tried to kill each other once (the summer has just started mind you).
The other day, we were talking about stories of when she was little. There was one night when Topher and I were exhausted from work, and we were all going out to dinner. She was around 5 at the time.
We asked her where she wanted to go eat: “That one place that has that stuff I like” she says.
“What place is that?” we asked
“I don’t know that name, but the place that has the stuff I really like.” Hmmm… We had no idea.
