Growing up, Halloween was a big deal in my home. It was my mom's favorite holiday. She would go all out making costumes for my brother and me, and she ran our haunted house in elementary school. She would dress up in crazy, elaborate costumes each year. All of this was great fun until I got to be in middle school.
